Introduction to working with and visualizing data in Twinfinity

This section focuses on how to extract and utilize data from models within the Twinfinity platform, emphasizing visualization in a model context.

Data Extraction: A Key to Insight

The process involves iterating over objects to collect subsets of data. This includes exploring property sets of objects, extracting individual properties and values, and organizing them in a structured manner. Property sets often contain significant metadata about an object and can include various types of information, such as quantities, manufacturing specifications, or documentation links.

Coloring Models Based on Property Set Data

One practical application is setting object colors based on the value of a property within a specific property set. This method involves filtering the desired data from the model and applying common colors to objects sharing similar property values.

Visualizing Data Based on Location and Property Set Values

This example demonstrates using the physical location overlap between LOA spaces (areas in a building that can be rented out) and room spaces, along with properties of LOA spaces. Data are presented in labels on a 2D canvas that correspond to 3D positions within the model.

Managing Floor Data

A common requirement in digital twin applications is displaying specific floors of a model. This section explores methods to display a selected floor and retrieve names of all floors in a building.

These sections provide comprehensive insights into the effective management and visualization of model data in Twinfinity, catering to the needs of developers and users alike in digital twin applications
